About Florian Insurance Inc.

In 1963, Ken Laraway began selling insurance in Florida. In 1973 he moved to Hudson and started selling insurance for The Fordham Insurance Agency Inc. He enjoyed living on the Gulf of Mexico in Hudson so much that he decided to make it his permanent home.

The policy, ethics and integrity that Fordham Insurance practiced and Ken's excellence in service and selling, prompted him to purchase the agency. Upon becoming president, he made only one change to the agency, and that was a new name. He decided to name it after his grandfather, Florian, who was his mentor and inspiration. Flash forward to 1991, Ken's daughter, Laura Hart joined the agency and quickly became the lead agent. When Ken and his wife retired in 2004, Laura Hart bought Florian Insurance and is now the president.
